The Mississinewa Battlefield Society is a 501(C) (3) Not-for-profit organization whose primary goal is to maintain the history and culture of our county and state directly relating to the Battle of Mississinewa fought in Grant County, IN in December of 1812.

The success of our event relies heavily on the active participation of our dedicated members. By volunteering your time, you contribute to the overall vibrancy of our community and help create memorable experiences for everyone involved. Whether you have experience in event coordination, living history, or are eager to lend a helping hand, there are opportunities for everyone to get involved.

How you can help:

Golden Leaves

EVENT
COORDINATION

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our event coordination committees. Tasks include planning, logistics, and ensuring all aspects of the event run smoothly.

Tree Removal

WORK
DAYS

In the months and days leading up to the event, we need volunteers to assist with various tasks such as groundskeeping, set-up, and any last-minute preparations. Your energy and commitment will make a significant difference.

Membership Tiers

If you are ready to take part and make a difference, please review the membership tier options available. Your involvement is invaluable, and we look forward to working together to create an event that reflects the strength and unity of our Society.

This membership is good from the date of joining until the end of the coinciding calendar year. No refunds. Annual renewals are encouraged!

FRIEND OF THE SOCIETY: $10.00

(open anytime before the end of 2025)

  • Centinel Newsletter containing quarterly updates to our meetings and events by email (or mail if requested)

  • Benoni Pierce Dinner discount to $25/adult & $5/child (regularly $45.00/adult and $10/child for non-members, the society pays the remaining portion of the meal price.)

  • General monthly meeting in person (second Wednesday of every month, 7:00 pm, NO VOTING PRIVILIGES)

FULL MEMBER: $20.00 

(member in good standing if paid by March 31st, 2025)

Full membership includes:

  • Centinel Newsletter containing quarterly updates to our meetings and events by email (or mail if requested)

  • Facebook Society Page access to all current and upcoming announcements (work day schedules, special events, member updates, etc.)

  • The privilege to vote at our annual December election of officers and directors

  • Benoni Pierce Dinner discount to $20/adult & $5/child (regularly $45.00/adult and $10/child for non-members, the society pays the remaining portion of the meal price.)

  • 10% discount on all Mississinewa 1812 society merchandise

  • Personalized Society Membership Card

  • General monthly meeting in person (second Wednesday of every month, 7:00 pm) with voting privileges
